BAIC, newest addition to Nates family

By Eastern Cape Rising Sun

Nates Car Sales is once again making headlines in the motor industry, for the right reasons.
The Eastern Cape Auto lot became a franchise dealer for BAIC, a Chinese state-owned enterprise of several automobiles.

Always looking for new ways to bring diversity to his brand, Nathanael Padayachee, known as Nates, spent a few months doing homework on the BAIC Automotive Group.
Nates noticed that there was a BAIC factory in Port Elizabeth, but no BAIC franchise in East London and soon got in touch with Mr Basil Costa from BAIC.

“Mr Basil was very helpful. We managed to get things going forward. We were very excited to hear that they accepted our proposal and we became a franchise dealer of East London,” explains Nates.

BAIC has a comprehensive portfolio of products, covering the full range from passenger to commercial vehicles.
But what caught Nates’ eye most was the B40 Plus.
The styling on the B40 PLUS is bold. This SUV knows how to command attention wherever it goes and is made for drivers that don’t accept the norm.

Prior to acquiring the BAIC B40 Plus, Nates attended the B40 launch in Johannesburg last month, a trip sponsored by BAIC. “We met some amazing people here. We saw what the new franchise is capable of and we are looking forward to visiting the factory in Port Elizabeth soon,” excitedly said Nate.

Nates new BAIC B40 Plus was at the “Hawks MCC 8th Ekasi Jol” that took place at Hawks Clubhouse in Buffalo Flats.
“We have a variety of vehicles and having BAIC as part of our offering adds to our diversity. As you know we do not charge interest fees and have the lowest rates. As always a big thank you to everyone who shares our brand and does business with us. We assure you our best,” concluded Nates.

Take a selfie with the BAIC B40 Plus and post the photo on your facebook and on Nates Car Sales Facebook page, with the hashtag #SELFIEWITHBAICEL and stand a chance to win R500, a t-shirt and cap courtesy of Nates Car Sales.

BAIC Automotive Group Co. Ltd. (BAIC Group) has become one of the five largest automotive groups in China. With its headquarters located in Beijing and at the Turin Styling Centre in Italy and production bases all over China, BAIC Group currently has around 90,000 employees.

The B40 PLUS’s dynamic design is complemented by aggressive bumpers, wheel arches and stylish 17” alloy wheels. The removable roof and panels mean that you can go topless when the mood strikes. The large windows and windscreen make for great visibility, whatever the landscape.
As amazing as the B40 PLUS is on the outside, the style continues inside this SUV. Far from functional, the style is simple and bold with a host of features to make you feel as good on the inside as you look on the outside.

Whether you’re rocking the city streets or rock-climbing in the great outdoors, you will certainly look cool in the B40 Plus.

Available in 2 litre Petrol Turbo or 2.0 Diesel Turbo, the choice is yours on how you power your adventure.
The B40 PLUS is also packed with features that make your drive, on-road or off-road, iconic like Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) and Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) across all models.
The City Hunter and the Champion models also include Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Ascent Control (HAC) and Hill Descent Control (HAC).

A ground clearance of 210mm, approach angle of 37 degrees and departure angle of 31 degrees means that the B40 PLUS can take on any terrain with ease.
