BCM Mayor gets his second dose.

Buffalo City Metro Executive Mayor Cllr Xola Pakati has taken his second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine at the Bhisho hospital this Wednesday morning.

This is after he has taken his first dose of the vaccine back in May 2021.

In encouraging the BCM community Cllr Xola Pakati said, “We would like to remind all those who are eligible for vaccination they should do so, our public health institutions are open for all those who are ready and eligible for vaccination.”

After receiving his second dose the mayor said that would like to call upon all individuals to observe all Covid-19 protocols, “In particular now that we are on the third wave of Covid-19.”

In addition, with laws put forward by the Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma who gazetted a notice which has recently adjusted the country to Level 4 as announced by the president. The executive mayor explains that they will deploy the enforcement agencies to ensure compliance.

Regarding the vaccine it is recommended to take the second dose for an improved level of antibodies in the blood which could be able to fight the Delta variant.
