Craig Borges sped away as the 2022 champion in the Modified Saloon category at the MSA Border Regional Championship recently.
His proud father, Joe Borges shared the news with EC Rising Sun.
Craig started Karting in the Border and Gqeberha areas in 2015. He gained track experience in his matric year having participated in every national race that year.
Being a growing lad, Craig moved on to the Open Circuit. He participated in Karting and Open Circuit together until mid-2018 before moving full-time into Open Circuit.
Over the years, Craig has taken a fair share of first and second spots on the podium.
Despite the challenges during his karting, Craig persevered, thanks to the support from his father, family and friends.
“Craig would love to be the fastest driver in the BMSC Open Circuit track but for that needs a fast and reliable car and that only comes with sponsorship. We hope someone can help him achieve that goal,” explained Joe.
