Usekho Mgudane, a 15-year-old teen model from East London, has been officially invited to the International Models and Talent Convention.
This event will take place in New York City, United States of America, from July 10th to July 15th, 2022.
The first round of International Arts and Talent Showcase was on the 26th of June 2021 at the East London Guild Theatre, where Usekho was chosen to take part in the International Models and Talent Showcase in Johannesburg, on the 24th of September 2021.
Shortly after that she received an official callback from IMTA.
A middle child, Usekho lives with both parents and two other siblings at Greenfields. She was born and raised in East London, with her paternal family being in Graaff Reinet and her maternal family in Nqamakwe.
This young lady started her primary education at George Rendal Primary and left after finishing grade 7, moving to Port Rex Technical College, where she is currently doing grade 9.
Her hobbies include reading, designing, and upcycling clothes, and watching modelling programs on TV.
Ms Mgudane’s modeling career began when she entered Miss Teenager in 2019. Sadly, she did not make into the Top 20.
This experience did not waver her from her goal, instead it inspired her, “I am thankful because I gained knowledge and it also motivated me to not give up easily, as it is my dream to become a model,” said the talented teenager.
Two years after that, she registered with a modelling agency, TC Model Mangagement, where she has classes every Saturdays. “Now here I am, a finalist going to New York city in 2022!” she enthusiastically added.
Usekho says her goal is to become South Africa’s recognized supermodel at an international level, where she will model for various brands and travel the world.
The model said her aspiration is to become the best possible version of herself and be an inspiration to other young girls.
She also said that in the future, she sees herself achieving the goals that she has set and doing everything to make sure that her career is set going forward.
Usekho’s parents are supportive of their daughter’s dream, with her mother accompanying her on the trip.
“I’m excited because even myself, at her age, I was modeling at school but because I did not have anybody to motivate me, I ended up leaving it. When she said she wanted to model, I was so excited,” the words of a proud mother, Cynthia Mgudane.
Along with the congratulatory letter from the International Model and Talent Convention, was a registration package that included the fees Usekho needs to pay.
The package is a total amount of R81 980.00. Should you wish to sponsor this talented young lady with any amount, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 078 236 5004 or 067 881 8386.
