President Cyril Ramaphosa has called on civil society, government and communities to form a cohesion to address the scourge of youth drinking alcohol.
Reports recently showed that alcohol has become a serious issue in South Africa as majority of the population has been classified as binge drinkers by the World Health Organizations (WHO).
This call has come in the wake of the recent tavern tragedy that claimed the lives of 21 youth in East London. This incident has come under scrutiny as many of the deceased were underage.
Meanwhile President Ramaphosa is expected to attend the mass funeral service of the 21 youth in East London tomorrow (Wednesday, 6 July).
